Senior Project Manager, Arapahoe Library District

Biography

With a lifetime of professional experience in business, government and non-profit
organizations, Jane Martel has found her sweet spot, settling into public libraries for the long
haul by working for Arapahoe Libraries (in the Denver metro area) since 2008. As Senior Project
Manager, Jane helps to manage the library district’s portfolio of projects, trains and coaches
project managers, and manages key cross-functional projects. Drawn to the power of data to
solve work challenges, she uses her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, Quality Process Analyst, and
Project Management Professional certifications to serve on teams such as the Data Strategy
Team. Jane is happiest when working with groups to revamp library processes to function more
efficiently and effectively. She earned Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Science
in Education degrees from the University of Maine, as well as a business post-bac certificate
from the University of Louisville.
