Biography

Julia Marden is a data librarian, community builder, and activist, currently serving as a research associate in the Public Knowledge program at the Mellon Foundation. Her experience includes positions at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Columbia University Libraries, and DataKind. She is also the founder of Tiny Panther Consulting, which offers workshops and consultations that help organizations and individuals to demystify data and empowers them to use data to question, advocate, collaborate, and change the world. Julia holds a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MsLIS from Pratt Institute.
