You can connect with peers who are working with library data through a few different options:
- Sign up for a data email list such as PL-EVAL and ARL-ASSESS
- Ask the State Data Coordinator at your state library agency whether they offer any opportunities for connection, such as an email list or interest group for people interested in data
- Join the Project Outcome and/or PLA Data Measurement Interest Group discussion boards (to join the PLA Data Measurement Interest Group, you need to be a PLA member)
- Volunteer for a data committee. At the national level, these include PLA’s Measurement, Evaluation, and Assessment Committee and ALA’s Research and Statistics Committee. You can also look for these types of committees within your state’s library association
- Attend a library data conference such as the Research Institute for Public Libraries (RIPL) or Library Assessment Conference
