Code of Conduct

At RIPL, we are committed to creating a community that is respectful and welcoming to all, and where everyone has a sense of belonging. We aim to provide an immersive learning experience where everyone can safely and freely share ideas, experiment, and collaborate with others. To this end, everyone involved in the event – participants, sponsors, instructors, and event staff – is required to uphold the following expectations:

  • Lead with kindness: Show consideration and respect for everyone.
  • Behave appropriately: Behaviors including harassment or intimidation based on race, religion, language, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, appearance, or other group status; sexual harassment or intimidation, including unwelcome sexual attention, stalking (physical or virtual), or unsolicited physical contact; and yelling at or threatening others (verbally or physically) are prohibited.
  • Respect the privacy of everyone associated with the event: Matters of a sensitive nature that are discussed during the event should not be mentioned outside of the event.
  • Recognize and celebrate diverse perspectives: Be open and inclusive in discussions, and be aware of how language, images, and actions may be perceived by others.

Please report any behavior that makes you or others uncomfortable to event staff.
