Biography

Zach Schleicher is a GIS Analyst at the Laboratory for Applied Spatial Analysis, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). He received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Geography (specializing in GIS) from SIUE. Zach began his career as a GIS Crime Analyst with the St. Louis County Police Department. For the past seven years, he has worked at the Laboratory for Applied Spatial Analysis where he is involved in GIS project design, implementation, and analysis. While he has worked on a wide range of projects, his most recent focus has been in the GIS network modeling of route efficiency and delivery hub location analysis for the Illinois State Library system. Zach has also played a key role in developing and implementing a curriculum to educate both teachers and students in geospatial concepts and GIS technology at the high school level for schools in the St. Louis Metropolitan area.
