Cate Burlington

Cate Burlington is a technology education professional with a passion for building communities and breaking down barriers. Cate’s background is in IT, having gotten her start in various roles from technical support at a software company to technology manager for a traveling circus. She began melding her technology skills with her love of education when working for iGotITtoo, a technology service nonprofit in New York City working to end the digital divide by bringing free tech support and education to underserved communities. After obtaining her master’s degree in education, she has gone on to work in higher education and the nonprofit sector, including serving as a Blackboard Administrator for CUNY on the nation’s largest Blackboard Learn installation and as IT Product Lead for the national workforce development nonprofit Year Up. She is pleased and proud to now work as Lead Technology Specialist for the Providence Public Library, where she helps lead an innovative, workforce-focused and community-centered suite of technology training programming.
