The Logic Model is based on the assumption that IF the library does this, THEN that will occur. On the face of it, this logic makes perfect sense, and seems quite straightforward. So why do we struggle with the Logic Model? Let’s examine the factors that allow the Model to function properly, starting with a crystal clear picture of the targeted outcome – the “THEN”. It is the ideal tool for designing programs and services that address your communities’ problems or aspirations as well as for evaluating the program or services’ success. We’ll work through the Model together, applying the steps to see where and how you can use the Model in your Library. IF we try to apply the Model together, THEN you will be ready to use it in your organization.
