Breakout: Making Online Survey Tools Work for You

Online surveys are an efficient and professional way to gather the information necessary to make data-driven decisions for your library. With one tool, you can quickly design, administer, collect responses, and analyze the results of your survey. As an added bonus, many of the best online survey tools are free!

This hands-on breakout session will build on the survey design and data analysis skills you’ve gained in the Survey Design and Administration session at RIPL by practicing how to use various free online survey tools to construct and analyze your surveys. We will discuss how to avoid common mistakes and how to use the special features of each web-based survey tool in order to make the most of your online surveys. To get the most out of this session, participants should bring a laptop.
