Breakout: A Beginner’s Guide to the Art of Excel
Excel speaks to our innate need to arrange things in rows and columns. It is the most commonly used tool in libraries when preparing to analyze numbers from your collections, services or your community. This session will help beginners with basic navigation tips, understanding terms, entering data and getting started using formulas. Examples of reports you can use as templates will be presented including collections, programs and attendance, circulation, and e-resources use. To get the most out of this session, participants should bring a laptop or tablet with Microsoft Excel to follow along.
